Ukrainzaliznytsia adds 18 Kyiv City Express shuttles across Dnieper after bridge strikes
Ukrainzaliznytsia will launch 18 additional Kyiv City Express shuttle services across the Dnieper River in Kyiv starting Monday, October 5, to ease traffic disruptions caused by Russian attacks on bridges. The shuttles will run during peak hours from 6:00 to 9:00 and 16:00 to 21:00. The additional trains will operate on the Vydubychi–Darnytsia–Vydubychi route with stops at Bereznyaki station, with boarding at Vydubychi on track 3 and at Darnytsia on tracks 1 or 2. Passengers can also use scheduled suburban and regional trains to and from Nizhyn, Hrebinka, Konotop, and Slavutych, which make mandatory stops at Vydubychi and Darnytsia. Russia has conducted targeted drone strikes on the Northern Bridge in Kyiv since October 1, with another attack on October 4 damaging road surface and a heating main, temporarily cutting hot water in the Desnyansky district and injuring two people.
