Russian forces strike Kyiv's North Bridge, second Dnipro crossing hit in days

svoboda.org (Russian) —

Russian forces attacked the Pivnichnyi (North) Bridge in Kyiv on the morning of October 3, damaging the roadway and trolleybus contact network, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Traffic across the bridge from the left to the right bank has been halted. This is the second major Dnipro River bridge in the city to be struck in recent days, following attacks on the Pivdennyi (South) Bridge on October 1 and 2, which damaged its support, roadway, and metro protective barrier. Movement across the South Bridge has been fully stopped. After the October 2 strikes, restrictions were introduced on four other Dnipro bridges, causing major traffic jams. Russia's Defense Ministry said the North Bridge supports Ukrainian troop movements and military logistics.
