Russian Strike Damages Kyiv's Northern Bridge, Disrupting Traffic for Third Day
A Russian strike damaged Kyiv’s Northern Bridge early Saturday, suspending traffic and causing tailbacks for a third day, in Moscow's latest effort to disrupt life in the Ukrainian capital. No casualties were reported. The attack came after Russian assaults forced the full or partial closure of three of Kyiv’s six road bridges over the Dnipro River. Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed the strike, claiming the bridge is used for Ukrainian troop movements and military logistics. The aerial war has intensified, with Kyiv striking Russia's oil industry while Moscow menaces Ukrainian cities with ballistic missiles and drones. Moldovan President Maia Sandu condemned the attack, saying Russian weapons violated Moldovan airspace and exploded on its soil.
