Kyiv adds 18 shuttle trains between Vydubychi and Darnitsa stations
Kyiv City Express will run 18 additional shuttle services between Vydubychi and Darnitsa stations from October 5-9 to help commuters cross the Dnieper River amid disrupted traffic over Kyiv's bridges. The extra trains will operate during peak hours from 6:00 to 9:00 and 16:00 to 21:00, stopping at Bereznyaki station. Passengers can also use scheduled suburban and regional trains to Nezhyn, Hrebinka, Konotop, and Slavutych, which make mandatory stops at both stations. The measure follows Russian attacks on the Southern and Northern bridges last week and ongoing drone strikes that have complicated river crossings. Ukraine's infrastructure minister announced plans for pontoon crossings and a potential tunnel under the river.
