German, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish diplomats confirmed they remain in Kyiv despite threats from Russia's Foreign Ministry and risks to foreign nationals. The embassies of Germany, Italy, Spain, and Sweden in Ukraine posted on social media that they stay in Kyiv, stating they "view with concern" the Russian Foreign Ministry's threat and that Russia must comply with the Vienna Convention and international humanitarian law. Earlier, the EU ambassador to Ukraine and the foreign ministries of Poland and Estonia affirmed all EU embassies continue working in Kyiv. On September 30, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported debris from Russian strikes found on the grounds of a Western embassy.
