news.telegraf.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

Kyiv experienced major traffic jams on Saturday, October 3, after a Russian drone strike damaged the Northern Bridge across the Dnieper River, forcing its closure. Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko confirmed the attack, which damaged the roadway and trolleybus network. Traffic from the left to the right bank is blocked, causing significant congestion on Prospekt Romana Shukhevycha and Stepana Bandery Avenue. Kyivpastrans rerouted buses No. 21, 73, 101, and 114, as well as trolleybuses No. 29, 30, 31, and 47, with services running behind schedule. The Southern Bridge remains fully closed for vehicles and metro following four Russian strikes on October 1-2. Authorities are discussing contingency plans, including ferries, bicycles, and alternate driving days, should bridges be destroyed.
