Zelensky shows Russian strike on Northern Bridge, comments on Merz's Kyiv visit
On October 4, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine, targeting Kyiv, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, killing one person and injuring six others. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky released video of the strike on the Northern Bridge and commented on the events. During the night, Russia launched 135 attack drones, over 50 of which were jet-powered, targeting residential buildings and critical infrastructure, causing power outages. This week, Russia used over 1,900 drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 25 missiles against Ukraine, with Zelensky stressing that Russia must answer for the escalation. Zelensky also commented on the unannounced visit of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to Kyiv, thanking Germany for its leadership in protecting Ukrainian lives. He stated that new agreements between Ukraine and Germany are being prepared to strengthen defense capabilities across Europe.
