Ukraine unveils Nika missile to counter jet-powered drones, Zelensky says
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the development of a new small missile called "Nika" designed to destroy jet-powered drones such as the Shahed, stating that tests are still pending. Zelensky said both Ukraine and Germany view the missile's prospects positively, and he also reported a successful test of a new Ukrainian-German interceptor called "Spys." Additionally, over 12 turrets have been installed in Kyiv to defend against jet drones, with eight more planned for the Kyiv region. The president noted that dozens of these turrets will be placed at various facilities. This follows previous Ukrainian efforts to test new-generation interceptor drones and accelerate their development and production to counter Russian jet-powered Shahed drones.
