Kyiv updates bridge traffic rules during air alerts after drone strikes

nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Kyiv updated temporary traffic restrictions on bridges during air raid alerts on October 3, according to the city administration. The Podilskyi bridge will close traffic from the left to the right bank, and the Pivdennyi bridge from the right to the left bank, for up to 15 minutes after an alert begins. Other bridges across the Dnipro River in Kyiv will not be closed. Entry onto the Pivdennyi bridge toward the left bank is available from Stolychnе, Naddniprianske highways, and Vydubychi bus station. The restrictions follow Russian drone attacks that damaged the Pivdennyi bridge on October 2, causing a major traffic collapse in the capital. On October 3, a drone strike hit the Pivnichnyi bridge, damaging the road surface and trolleybus network, with two people injured.
