Russia Says It Struck Kyiv Bridge and Two Black Sea Vessels
Russia struck Kyiv's Northern bridge over the Dnipro River on Sunday, targeting a key route for troop and military cargo transport, according to the Russian Defence Ministry. The ministry also reported hitting two dry cargo vessels carrying military equipment to Odesa port in the Black Sea. The strikes follow Russia's promise to intensify attacks on Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Kyiv would increase assaults on Russian oil refineries. Russian forces also hit a Nova Poshta logistics centre in Chornomorsk and a data centre in Odesa overnight. Russia claimed its air defence intercepted and destroyed 559 Ukrainian drones over multiple regions and seas between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Reuters could not independently verify the claims from either side.
