Russia Urges Diplomats and Foreigners to Leave Kyiv as Strikes Intensify
Russia renewed its call on Saturday for diplomats and foreigners in Kyiv to leave the city, warning that its forces will continue conducting "massive retaliatory strikes" against the Ukrainian capital. The Russian Foreign Ministry stated it had reiterated this warning to the diplomatic corps. The ministry said responsibility for any negative consequences lies entirely with those who ignore the warning, adding that Russian armed forces will keep targeting military sites in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. The capital has been heavily targeted in recent weeks, with strikes hitting bridges and causing major traffic jams. Kyiv's mayor, Vitaly Klitschko, described the situation on Friday as "extremely dramatic," accusing Moscow of "wrecking" the city by systematically attacking its infrastructure and logistics.
