Russia Strikes Kyiv's Northern Bridge in New Attack

tagesschau.de (German) —

Russia has again struck a bridge in Kyiv, this time targeting the Northern Bridge, damaging its roadway and trolleybus lines. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the attack, halting traffic and causing a third consecutive day of congestion, with no casualties reported. The strike follows attacks the previous day that left three of Kyiv's six road bridges over the Dnipro partially or fully impassable. Russia's Defense Ministry said the bridge facilitates Ukrainian troop movements and military supplies, while unverified social media videos purportedly show the moment of impact. Other strikes hit residential buildings, supermarket warehouses, gas stations, and data centers. Russia also fired Banderol cruise missiles at the Odessa region, with Moldova reporting five projectiles entering its airspace, while Ukrainian drones damaged buildings in Kaluga, Russia.
