Russian Strikes on Kyiv Bridges Disrupt Vital Dnipro Crossings
Russia has attacked bridges in Kyiv six times over the past three days, damaging key infrastructure and prompting authorities to restrict or halt traffic on five of the capital's six road bridges. The strikes have severely disrupted daily life in Ukraine's largest city. The attacks targeted bridges in the city's south and north, with one southern bridge struck three times. Although the structures remain standing, local officials have limited access to prevent further casualties and damage. The restrictions affect commuters crossing the Dnipro River, which divides Kyiv. About one million people live on the eastern bank, while most government offices and businesses are on the western bank, making the bridges a vital lifeline for the city.
