Russia Urges Foreigners to Leave Kyiv, Vows More Strikes on Ukraine
Russia announced it will continue retaliatory strikes against Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, urging foreign citizens and diplomats to leave Ukraine. The warning was issued by Russia's Foreign Ministry on October 3. The ministry stated Russian forces will conduct "precision strikes" on military facilities in Kyiv and other cities in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilians and civilian infrastructure. It warned that those ignoring the advisory will bear the consequences, repeating a similar warning from May that was disregarded by Western leaders visiting Kyiv. Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine's capital, including an airstrike on a bridge over the Dnipro River, disrupting life for three million residents before winter. President Vladimir Putin said Ukraine will continue to pay for its attacks on Russia, as both sides escalate strikes on grain ships and infrastructure while denying targeting civilians.
