Russia warns of massive strikes on Kyiv, urges foreigners to leave

di.se (Swedish) —

Russia's defense ministry on Saturday urged diplomats and foreign citizens to leave Kyiv, threatening "massive strikes" on the city, according to AFP. The ministry said it had previously warned foreigners to depart and avoid visiting Ukraine, expressing concern that some had ignored the advice and were deliberately endangering themselves. Kyiv's mayor Vitali Klitschko reported another bridge attack overnight, marking the third consecutive day of Russian strikes on bridges, which caused traffic chaos Friday when three bridges were fully or partially closed.
