Russian drones strike Kyiv bridge for fifth time in three days

yle.fi (Swedish) —

Russian drones attacked a bridge over the Dnipro River in Kyiv on Saturday morning, marking the fifth such assault on bridges in the Ukrainian capital in three days. The so-called Northern Bridge was hit, damaging the roadway and trolleybus power lines. Authorities rerouted bus traffic following the attack. An engineer told the Kyiv Independent that it is practically impossible to destroy the bridge with the explosive payloads carried by Russian drones. Engineer Kostiantyn Kryvolap described the attacks as "more like mosquito bites" for such a structure, saying their purpose is to disrupt traffic and increase psychological pressure on the population.
