Zelensky vows more strikes on Russian refineries; Moscow responds
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised to intensify strikes on Russian oil refineries, prompting Russia's Defense Ministry to respond by vowing to expand its own attacks on targets in Ukraine. In a Reuters interview, Zelensky said Ukraine possesses documents showing Putin ordered a wider range of targets in Ukraine ahead of winter, aiming to force people from cities. He stated Ukraine will hit Russian energy infrastructure but will not strike civilian objects. Russia's Defense Ministry said it "heard" Zelensky's warning and will strengthen attacks on military and industrial facilities, blaming him for the escalation. This comes after US President Trump urged Zelensky to limit refinery strikes, while Putin dismissed a proposed strike halt.
