Satellite images show two Russian fighter jets destroyed at Khanskaya airfield in Adygea after SBU strike
Satellite images show two Russian Su-35 and Su-34 fighter jets were completely destroyed by fire following a Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) strike on Khanskaya airfield in Russia's Adygea Republic on the night of October 4. The SBU confirmed the attack, stating both aircraft were carriers of guided aerial bombs used extensively against Ukrainian front-line positions and cities. A munitions storage facility was also hit, according to Ukrainian Telegram channels publishing the images. Adygea has been targeted previously, including a March 2026 strike on Maykop airfield infrastructure and a December 2025 attack. In October 2024, Ukrainian forces also hit Khanskaya airfield, damaging a munitions depot.
