Ukraine disables over 51% of Russia's oil refining capacity, Defense Ministry says

pravda.com.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine's military has disabled over 51% of Russia's oil refining capacity through long-range strikes, according to Ukraine's Defense Ministry. Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara stated this significantly undermines Russia's economy and military capability. Khmara said recent strikes hit refineries including Moscow, Yaroslavl, KINEF, Ust-Luga, Perm, Ilsky, Saratov, and Syzran. He described the operations as systematic efforts to weaken Russia's war machine and shift the conflict onto Russian territory. Ukraine has tripled production and procurement of long-range strike drones this year, with plans to further expand these deep strike capabilities. The ministry emphasized this is not the limit of their efforts.
