Domodedovo Airport restricts flights after drone attack
Moscow's Domodedovo Airport is temporarily operating flights only with approval from relevant authorities due to restrictions on airspace use, as announced by Russia's aviation agency Rosaviatsia. The restrictions follow an overnight incident on October 4, when Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that air defense systems destroyed six drones approaching the capital. The Russian Defense Ministry separately stated that on the night of October 3, forces intercepted 218 Ukrainian drones over multiple Russian regions. The Defense Ministry said the drones were downed over Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Ryazan, Rostov, and Smolensk oblasts, among others. Russian military officials had previously issued a message to Ukraine's armed forces.
