Kyiv tightens bridge traffic rules during air raid alerts
Kyiv has approved new traffic restrictions for bridges across the Dnipro River during air raid alerts, specifically affecting the Pivdennyi Bridge. Authorities urge residents not to ignore danger warnings. Under the new rules, Pivdennyi Bridge allows unrestricted traffic from left to right bank, but movement from right to left is limited for 15 minutes after an alert begins, then resumes. The Podilsko-Voskresenskyi Bridge halts traffic in both directions for 15 minutes upon alert declaration or cancellation. Pivnichnyi, Darnytskyi, Metro, and Patona bridges remain unrestricted. The Kyiv City Military Administration announced these measures following an October 2 Defense Council meeting addressing city functioning amid enemy attacks, bridge operations, and the "green" metro line.
