Russia urges diplomats and foreigners to leave Kyiv as strikes continue
Russia has again urged diplomats and foreigners in Kyiv to leave the city, warning its forces will continue "mass retaliation strikes" against the Ukrainian capital. The Russian Foreign Ministry said it had "reiterated to the diplomatic corps" the warning for foreign citizens and diplomats to depart, adding that responsibility for any negative consequences lies entirely with those who ignore it. The ministry announced that Russian armed forces will continue striking military targets in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. Kyiv has been a frequent target in recent weeks, with strikes hitting bridges and causing major traffic jams. Mayor Vitaly Klitschko described the situation as "extremely dramatic," saying Moscow is "devastating" the city. Ukrainian authorities fear winter, when Russia could hit energy infrastructure as in 2025, while Ukraine continues attacking Russian refineries and infrastructure.
