Russia says it hit Kyiv bridge and two cargo ships in Black Sea

timesofindia.indiatimes.com —

Russia said Sunday its forces struck Kyiv's Northern bridge over the Dnipro River, claiming it was used to move Ukrainian troops and military cargo, and also hit two dry cargo vessels near Odesa carrying military equipment. The Russian defence ministry reported the vessel strikes in the northwestern Black Sea, plus attacks on a Nova Poshta logistics centre in Chornomorsk and a data centre in Odesa. The strikes follow Russian vows to intensify attacks, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Kyiv would step up strikes on Russian oil refineries. Russia also said its air defence intercepted 559 Ukrainian drones between 2000 Moscow time Saturday and 0800 Sunday over several regions and the Azov and Black seas. Both sides continue launching drone and missile attacks on energy and logistics infrastructure deep inside each other's territory.
