SBU strike destroys two Russian jets at Adygea airfield

rbc.ua (Russian) —

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) struck the Russian military airfield "Khanskaya" in the Republic of Adygea, destroying two fighter jets and an ammunition depot. The attack occurred approximately 500 kilometers from the front line. The SBU's "Alpha" special operations center drones hit a Su-35 multirole fighter, valued at around $100 million, and a Su-34 fighter-bomber, worth approximately $50 million, along with a stockpile of aviation weapons. Both aircraft are primary carriers of guided aerial bombs used by Russian forces against Ukrainian positions. The SBU stated it is systematically destroying Russian military infrastructure and aviation to reduce combat potential, warning that strikes on Ukrainian civilian targets will receive mirror responses. Ukrainian authorities have also urged citizens not to film or share footage of attacks, as it could help Russian forces adjust their strikes.
