Russian forces strike Kyiv bridge again as attacks spread to multiple cities

fr.investing.com (French) —

Russian forces struck Kyiv's Pivnichnyi Bridge with a drone for a second consecutive day on Sunday, as attacks on infrastructure expanded to multiple Ukrainian cities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported one person killed and six wounded in the strikes. Zelenskyy said Russian forces also hit a pharmaceutical warehouse in Sumy and a communications facility in Dnipro. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko dispatched emergency services to the bridge, which Russia had targeted the previous day along with a logistics center near the capital. The attacks coincided with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's visit to Kyiv, where he planned to reaffirm Germany's support for Ukraine. Russia's Defense Ministry claimed it intercepted 559 Ukrainian drones overnight, while Ukraine reported Russia launched 135 drones and missiles, with 123 shot down.
