Russian Missile Attack on Kharkiv Kills One, Damages Buildings

A Russian missile attack on Kharkiv overnight killed one person and injured six others, sparking a fire at a two-story administrative building and damaging vehicles, Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported. The strike on Monday, October 5, damaged residential and administrative buildings, as well as cars, in the Industrial District. Rescuers have since extinguished the fire, and authorities reported damage to about ten high-rise buildings. Russian forces launched the attack late on October 4 using Banderol munitions, also targeting the Kyiv District of Kharkiv, where a strike hit open ground. Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed a double strike on the city.
