Kyiv installs 12+ turrets to counter Russian jet drones, Zelensky says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that over 12 turrets have been installed in Kyiv to counter attacks by Russian jet drones, with eight more planned for the Kyiv region. Zelensky made the statement during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Kyiv, as reported by Ukrinform. He said Russia will focus on jet drones and ballistic missiles, shifting from conventional Shahed drones to more advanced weapons. Zelensky also claimed Russia has up to 700 ballistic missiles in reserve. Merz arrived in Kyiv on October 4 on an unannounced visit, the same day Russian forces struck the Northern Bridge in Kyiv, injuring two people.
