Ukraine says over half of Russia's oil refining capacity is down

korrespondent.net (Russian) —

Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported Sunday that over 51% of Russia's oil refining capacity has been taken out of operation as a result of Ukrainian long-range strikes. Defense Minister Yevhen Khmarа stated this assessment was based on intelligence and General Staff analysis. The recent attacks targeted major refineries including Moscow, Yaroslavl, KINEF, Ust-Luga, and Perm facilities. Khmarа described the strikes as systematic efforts to weaken Russia's military-economic potential and its ability to supply its armed forces. Ukraine has tripled production and procurement of long-range strike drones this year, with plans to further scale these capabilities. The strikes continue in response to Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
