Ukraine strikes 11 Russian regions with hundreds of drones

Ukraine launched a massive drone attack on 11 regions of Russia on October 4, with Russian air defense reporting it intercepted over 280 of more than 300 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated the attack occurred between 08:00 and 20:00 Moscow time, with drones targeted over the Kursk, Belgorod, Smolensk, Bryansk, Kaluga, Tula, Oryol, and Rostov regions, as well as the Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai, and occupied Crimea, plus the Black and Azov Seas. The report follows previous Ukrainian strikes, including an SBU attack on two Russian fighter jets at an airfield in Adygea and successful hits on a Buk-M3 air defense system and other Russian military targets.
