Drones attacked the Khanskaya airfield near Maykop in Russia's Republic of Adygea, causing a large fire, according to the Telegram channel Exilenova+ on Sunday, October 4. During a similar strike in October 2024, the airfield reportedly housed 57 aircraft and helicopters, including Su-34 and Su-35S jets, L-39 trainers, and Mi-8 helicopters, with a fuel depot destroyed. The airfield, located about 450 kilometers from the front line, is used by Russian forces for refueling and launching missile and bomb strikes against Ukraine.
