Russian strikes kill 6 in Ukraine, damage Kyiv bridge; Moldova warns of spillover
Russian attacks killed at least six people in Ukraine and damaged Kyiv's Northern Bridge, disrupting traffic for a third day, while Moscow confirmed it targeted the structure. Ukrainian strikes also caused casualties in Russia. The strike damaged the bridge's road surface and trolleybus cables, suspending traffic, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko, who reported two wounded. Russia's Defense Ministry said the bridge facilitates Ukrainian troop movements and military logistics. The attack followed two days of assaults that closed three of Kyiv's six Dnipro River road bridges. Moldovan President Maia Sandu warned the war is dangerously reaching her country after five Russian air attack weapons violated its airspace. Ukrainian drones also struck Russia's Kaluga and Belgorod regions, killing one civilian, while Russian attacks on Kharkiv killed five and wounded over 40.
