During German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's historic visit to Kyiv, Ukraine and Germany signed 15 agreements worth 8.3 billion euros, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced at a press conference. The deals include developing interceptors and small missiles against jet-powered Shahed drones, ordering thousands of IRIS-T missiles, and increasing Patriot missile production in Germany. Zelensky emphasized the partnership benefits both countries, creating jobs in Germany while strengthening Ukraine's air defense. Additional agreements cover radar procurement from Hendsoldt, Siemens energy equipment for Naftogaz, 2,000 robotic ground systems, and work on the anti-ballistic "Freya" system with ten countries.
