Ukraine: Long-range strikes knock out over 51% of Russia's oil refining capacity

nv.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense announced that long-range strikes by its security and defense forces have put over 51% of Russia's oil refining capacity out of operation. Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara stated the strikes were carefully planned and systematic, aimed at weakening Russia's military and economic potential. The ministry cited attacks on refineries in Moscow, Yaroslavl, Perm, Ilsky, Saratov, and Syzran, as well as the NOVATEK-Ust-Luga complex and the KINEF plant in Leningrad Oblast. Recent Ukrainian drone attacks have halted operations at several major refineries, including Perm, Moscow, Syzran, and Saratov, with some facilities experiencing repeated shutdowns since August.
