rbc.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine has developed a new small missile called "Nika" to shoot down Russian jet-powered drones such as the Shahed, with tests being prepared, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced. Zelensky said both Ukraine and Germany react positively to the missile, and trials will follow. He also reported a successful test of the new Ukrainian-German interceptor "Spys" and noted over 12 special turrets against jet drones are already installed in Kyiv, with more planned. During a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Kyiv on October 4, Zelensky said dozens of turrets will be placed at various sites. Ukraine still hopes to receive German Taurus cruise missiles and is seeking F-16 ammunition to counter Russian drones.
