Ukraine's SBU strikes Russian Su-35 and Su-34 jets at Adygea airfield

news.liga.net (Ukrainian) —

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) said it struck Russian Su-35 and Su-34 fighter jets at the Khanskaya airfield in Adygea, Russia, using drones from the "Alpha" special operations center. The airfield is located about 500 km from Ukraine. The drones also hit an ammunition depot on the site. The SBU estimates the Su-35's export value at $100 million and the Su-34's at $50 million. Both aircraft types are carriers of guided bombs used by Russia against Ukrainian positions and frontline cities. Striking them at airfields reduces available carriers and forces Russian aviation to account for base attack threats.
