Russian strike on Kharkiv kills one, injures six

On the evening of October 4, Russian forces twice attacked Kharkiv with Banderol munitions, killing one man and injuring six people in the Industrial district. Mayor Igor Terekhov reported the strikes, which damaged about ten apartment buildings, cars, and an administrative building. A search-and-rescue operation is underway. The first strike hit an apartment building around 22:53, followed by a second attack on the area. Regional head Oleg Synegubov confirmed the aftermath, noting a fire in an administrative building and two cars burning. Another strike targeted the Kyiv district of Kharkiv, with impacts preliminarily recorded on open ground. Earlier, NV reported that Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 135 strike drones and Banderol/Dan-T missiles, with Ukrainian air defense destroying or suppressing 123 drones and two missiles.
