Russian drone strikes Kyiv's South Bridge again

tt.com (German) —

The South Bridge in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, was hit again by a Russian combat drone on Friday, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. The bridge remains closed to both car traffic and subway trains following multiple attacks. The bridge had already been struck by three drones on Thursday. After the Russian attacks, several bridges over the Dnipro River in the three-million-person city were closed, with two additional bridges partially shut for traffic in the afternoon. In total, seven bridges connect Kyiv's eastern and western parts. In the northwestern suburb of Hostomel, two people were injured in a Russian drone attack, with several warehouses set on fire. A drone also hit the Kyivskyi district in Kharkiv, injuring one person. Ukraine has defended itself against Russia's war for over four and a half years, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accusing Moscow of massive attacks on cities.
