Ukraine warns Kyiv residents to stay away from windows during air raid alerts
Ukrainian presidential technology advisor Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov urged Kyiv residents to stay away from windows during air raid alerts, citing the risk of falling bullets from anti-drone machine gun systems. He confirmed 12 automated turrets are already installed in the capital. The turrets, an innovative Ukrainian solution, use AI-controlled machine guns to shoot down Shahed drones. Beskrestnov warned that bullets that miss their targets can fall to the ground, making proximity to windows dangerous during system operation. Separately, Beskrestnov suggested Kyiv may contain compact mesh-repeaters that adjust Shahed drone strikes. These small devices, requiring only power and internet, can be assembled in homes, cars, or suitcases to establish communication channels with drones.
