Russian forces attacked apartment buildings in Kharkiv on the evening of Sunday, October 4, killing at least one person and injuring others. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported the first strike on a residential building in the Industrial District around 22:53, initially citing two dead and several wounded. A separate strike in the Kyiv District hit open territory. Updated information from the city's situational center confirmed one death and six injuries from a double strike in the Industrial District.
