Moscow Region's Largest Oil Depot Engulfed in Flames After Ukrainian Drone Strike
A fire broke out Tuesday morning at the Volodarskaya oil production and dispatch station in the Moscow region following a massive Ukrainian drone attack, according to Russian sources and monitoring channels. The station, located near Konstantinovo about 40 kilometers from central Moscow, is the largest petroleum products base in the region, handling roughly three million tons annually. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported about 650 drones targeted the capital, with Russian air defense downing 105. Ukraine has intensified drone strikes on Russian energy infrastructure to reduce Moscow's war resources, claiming attacks have disabled significant refining capacity. Ukrainian officials say they will continue targeting such facilities, while the United States has criticized the strikes for potentially raising global diesel prices.
