Russian drones strike Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kropyvnytskyi overnight
On the night of Tuesday, October 6, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with drones, causing damage in multiple regions. Explosions were reported in Kropyvnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv, with air raid alerts declared across several areas. In Zaporizhzhia, a strike on a bridge over the Dnieper River injured two men, aged 43 and 54, who were hospitalized, and traffic was temporarily halted. In Kyiv, falling debris sparked a fire on the roof of an educational institution in the Obolonsky district, and bus routes to the left bank were temporarily changed. The Ukrainian Air Force tracked drone movements across numerous regions, including Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Kyiv. On October 5, Russian forces had also struck Kharkiv with guided bombs, injuring at least 59 people and killing one, and hit a residential building in Zaporizhzhia.
