The cargo ship Royad Mammadov sank in the Black Sea off Romania's coast, killing two crew members, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky blaming a Russian drone attack on the vessel. Eleven crew members were rescued by helicopter after a fire signal, according to Romania's interior ministry. The incident occurred in Romania's exclusive economic zone, 30 nautical miles south of Sfântu-Gheorghe. Zelensky stated two Russian drones struck the Turkish-owned ship carrying corn, killing the captain. The vessel, flagged in Saint Kitts and Nevis, was traveling from Ukraine's Izmail port to Ravenna, Italy.
