Russian drone strike kills Turkish ship captain in Black Sea

Russian drones struck a Turkish civilian vessel carrying corn in neutral waters, killing its captain, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The fate of one crew member remains unknown. Zelensky said the ship, owned by Turkey, was hit by two Russian drones. It carried Azerbaijani and Indian nationals; 11 crew members were rescued, with one injured. He called for international pressure to restore Black Sea navigation safety. Ukraine has repeatedly proposed de-escalation steps for the Black Sea, but Russia allegedly chooses terror against civilian shipping, Zelensky added.
