On October 5, Russian forces struck Kharkiv with at least three guided aerial bombs, killing two people and injuring ten others in the city's Slobidskyi district. Mayor Igor Terekhov reported the strikes, which caused warehouse fires and damaged residential buildings. Rescue operations are underway as people may be trapped under the rubble of one building. A separate drone attack also hit a gas station in the Kyivskyi district. The attack follows a previous Russian strike on October 4 in Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district, which killed one person and injured eight others.
