Ukraine's air defense downs 114 of 137 Russian drones; attack ongoing

On the night of October 6, Russia attacked Ukraine with 137 strike drones, and air defense neutralized 114 of them. The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the airspace. The drones included Shahed types, 49 of which were jet-powered, as well as "Gerbera," "Banderol"/"Dan-T," and "Parody" decoy models. They were launched from Russian regions including Oryol, Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, plus occupied Donetsk, Crimea, and the Sea of Azov. As of 08:00, 114 drones were shot down or suppressed, with strikes recorded at 17 locations and debris falling at 4 sites. The Air Force urged people to follow safety rules as the assault continues.
