Russian strike hits bus at Ukraine-Moldova border crossing

A Russian projectile struck a passenger bus near the Palanca checkpoint on the Ukraine-Moldova border, injuring a border guard and damaging the vehicle and control booth. The crossing is now closed. The incident resulted from Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, according to Moldovan authorities. Ukraine's State Border Guard Service confirmed temporary suspension of operations and advised travelers to use alternative crossings. Moldova's Defense Ministry reported three rockets and two drones exploded on its territory on October 3, with another object flying toward Palanca.
