Ukrainian drones strike Moscow region, target oil refinery in Kapotnya

rbc.ua (Ukrainian) —

Ukrainian drones attacked the Moscow region from multiple directions overnight on October 6, likely striking the Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya, one of Russia's largest refineries. Explosions continued around 3 a.m., according to monitoring channels cited by RBC-Ukraine. The refinery supplies about 40% of Moscow's fuel market, so disruptions could affect fuel supplies to the Russian capital. Another target near Volodarskogo and Konstantinovo hit the Volodarskaya oil depot, the region's largest, which handles main oil product pipelines. No official damage reports exist yet. The Moscow refinery, owned by Gazprom Neft, was previously attacked on September 20, halting operations. Drone strikes on Russian oil infrastructure have occurred for several nights, including attacks on Volgograd on October 2 and the Tsimbulova base in Oryol region on October 3.
