Kyiv morning traffic jams hit bridges, metro disruptions add to delays

Kyiv experienced massive traffic jams on the morning of Tuesday, October 6, with the most severe congestion reported on the city's bridges, according to Google Maps data. Heavy traffic was recorded on approaches to the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge toward the right bank, as well as on the Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge and Prospekt Romana Shukhevycha. Difficult conditions also affected the Patona, Darnytskyi, and Metro bridges, with accidents in various districts further slowing traffic. Some metro trains on the green line are running only between "Chervonyi Khutir" and "Osokorky" due to technical issues, causing overcrowding and large passenger queues. Public transport is also delayed, and authorities have recently adjusted metro operations during air alert warnings.
