Drone strikes set Moscow region's largest oil depot ablaze

unian.ua (Ukrainian) —

Drones attacked Moscow and the Moscow region overnight, causing a major fire at the largest oil depot in the region, the "Volodarskaya" linear production and dispatch station. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that 650 drones were launched toward the region, with 105 destroyed near Moscow. The fire at the "Volodarskaya" station, which reportedly involves two fuel tanks, is significant because the facility handles 3 million tons of petroleum products annually and is directly connected to key Moscow airports: Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo. The station receives crude from Moscow and Ryazan refineries. This attack follows a similar mass drone strike on September 20 that caused fires at the "Sofyino" logistics technopark and the Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya, which subsequently suspended operations after damage to its primary processing units.
