Russian shell hits bus at Palanca checkpoint on Ukraine-Moldova border, injuring guard
On October 5, a Russian shell landed near the Palanca-Maiaki-Udobne checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, ricocheting into a parked bus and injuring a border guard. The attack disrupted operations at the crossing. Moldova's border police reported that their employee sustained minor injuries, with no other casualties reported. The bus and a control booth were damaged. Traffic toward the checkpoint was temporarily halted from the R-30 and R-31 road intersection in Stefan-Vodsky district. The General Police Inspectorate stated that restrictions would remain in place until the incident's circumstances are fully documented and investigated. The report noted that the checkpoint's work has been suspended.
